MA Auto Reform
2008 Massachusetts Auto Reform
As of April 1st 2008, Massachusetts will no longer be setting auto insurance rates.
A system of managed competition will be in place. Each carrier will be setting their own rates. The insurance commissioner will still maintain approval authority. The managed competition system was designed to encourage insurance companies to offer their lowest possible premium to each driver. Our agency has partnered with companies that are offering the maximum rate decreases as well as exceptional claim service. New credits available include increased safe driver credit, multi car discounts, loyalty credits, account credit for auto and home and advanced driver training credits.
Although, most individuals will benefit from reduced rates under they new system, the amount of premium you pay depends on your individual risk factors, such as driving record, territory and number of years driving.
Call our office today to discuss how the auto reform will affect your rates.
